Strength Training 102 Part One

This class is a follow on class from Strength Training 102. This video will provide slight progressions to the same movements in Strength Training 101. You can choose whether to progress all or some of the movements. Always listen to your own body and be able to stay on form.

Squat: Squat progresses from a chair squat to a body weight squat.

Shoulder Press: This can be progressed by using heavier Dumbbells or by coming to a standing position and bring a bit more focus to posture.

Standing Hip Abduction: Using a mini loop band around the ankles

Glute Raise: Using a mini loop band around the knees

Chest Press: Using heavier Dumbbells - form is important- if you don't feel this progression is suitable just stick with the weight you have.

Everyone's starting point and progress is going to be completely different so it is important to work at a pace and level that you feel is appropriate to you. Stay on these two videos until you feel ready to progress. You should choose a set of dumbbells that you can perform at least 10 repetitions with excellent form but you feel have challenged your muscles. If you cannot complete 10 repetitions with good form without fatigue, please use a lighter set of dumbbells.
